What am I doing starting a blog?

This is a blog for my mom friends written and contributed by my mom friends. This is just a little place we can keep up with what is going on in Williamson County. My mom friends can share their passions, talents, businesses, opinions, etc. This is a way to organize all the information we mom friends are constantly exchanging in our crazy & fun mom worlds. Let's share what we know and love with our mom friends!
  • Do you have a mom friend who has a business or is just starting a business?
  • Do you have a favorite place for eating, shopping, family time, "me" time, GNO outings?
  • Did you hear about a good deal on something we all might want to know about?
  • Did you send your kids to a cool camp or have their birthday party at a really neat place?
These are the things we are sharing with our mom friends every day through carpool line, play dates and watching our kids in after school activities. Let's make this a fun and useful place to visit!!

Please email me your bits of information so I can post them for our mom friends to read. I don't want this blog to be "all about me" but ALL ABOUT US!!

Sweet Dreams Cookie Company

One of my favorite local mom owned businesses is the Sweet Dreams Cookie Company in downtown Franklin. I don't know Marnice personally but she welcomes everyone with her sweet smile and pleasant nature. I have been on their mailing list for a while and just received the news they are closing their retail location. I am very disappointed because I was trying to figure out how I could have a birthday party or play date there. Here are the details from her recent email:

At Sweet Dreams Cookie Company, We Are Changing How we do Business:

For the Rest of November:
ORDERS ONLY Tuesday – Thursday (if you plan to come in, call us)
Friday and Saturday - Open 10 - 5
We are closed for Thanksgiving November 25 at noon - November 30.

For the Month of December and beyond:
ORDERS ONLY - I will be becoming "Your Personal Baker" and will be orders only. I am getting rid of my retail so that I can focus more on family and special orders. It has been great, but I have found that the expense (both time and money) of having retail is keeping my business from growing, especially since most of my business comes from orders. Thank you for your support and I hope you will continue to order with me.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 21 WILL BE THE LAST DAY YOU CAN VISIT OUR RETAIL STORE WITHOUT AN ORDER. The parking lot will be crowded as we have 2 birthdays that day, so park in the overflow at the Old Williamson County Schools Building across the street.

If you would like something specific, it may be best to make an order as the case will not be at maximum capacity this weekend. I will certainly miss seeing your faces, so be sure to continue to us for orders in the future!

So, if I can remember to plan ahead, I will be ordering my cookie tins to pick up and deliver to my mom friends who are ill, recovering from surgery or home with a newborn. I will also remember how much I LOVE her snickerdoodle cookies and red velvet cupcakes!! Keep smiling Marnice!!
